Thursday, February 23rd, Lucky Dog, along with other San Diego pet retailers, will be participating in the third annual “Paws for Pints”, a pet friendly blood drive. The event is sponsored by the San Diego Blood Bank and the Humane Society.
Pet owners are encouraged to bring their dogs with them while they donate blood. The Humane Society will provide dog sitting services for participating donors. Veterinarians will also be present at the event, providing information about canine blood disorders.
The Humane Society’s mobile adoption unit will be on-site with dogs that are eligible for adoption.
Attending donors will receive a variety of doggie treats, coupons and other surprises. Participants will receive a limited edition “Paws for Pints” T-shirt.
The event will take place at the San Diego Blood Bank, in the parking lot outside hospital services, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Blood Bank is located at 440 Upas Street, San Diego, CA 92103. For more information, visit the San Diego Blood Bank online.
